I wasn't sure what to take from this reading after the first read through. After looking at some other versions I have gathered that this is about True and False fasting. We should not fast for our own motives. We should fast to glorify God and cleanse ourselves of wickedness. If we fast honestly the Lord will provide for us and make us strong.
Isaiah 58:1-11
I was very glad to hear that my friend's boyfriend who we have both been praying for is starting to turn towards the light. He previously did not believe in God, and now he's giving Him some thought and showing signs of changing his mind. I will continue to pray for him.
